A Countryside Retreat

Introducing Casa Lane

Nestled in the rolling hills, this idyllic 115-year-old farmhouse has been lovingly transformed, seamlessly blending the old with the new.

Casa Lane is a four-bedroom, four-bath country retreat located just outside of West Grey, Ontario. Originally a century-old farmhouse, Casa Lane has been reimagined with intention, care, and every ounce of heart from the family who brought it back to life.

The name Casa Lane comes from the long, tree-lined laneway that winds through open fields and leads to the heart of the property. It’s more than just a driveway — it sets the tone for what awaits: a place of calm, quiet, and countryside beauty.

Every inch of the home has been thoughtfully considered. From wide oak floors and custom cabinetry, HanStone Quartz countertops, statement fixtures, and soft neutral tones, Casa Lane is the definition of elevated comfort. It’s a perfect blend of refined and relaxed — sophisticated, but never stuffy.

Outside, the property boasts a charming bank barn, drive shed, and 49 private acres of land. The natural surroundings offer panoramic views, open sky, and an invitation to slow down. It’s a place where modern living meets old-world charm, and where every detail feels intentional.

Designing a Home with Meaning

Lynne and Tristan do more than make spaces beautiful — they make them meaningful. Their projects are full of heart, their design advice is down-to-earth, and their lifestyle approach reminds people that home isn’t just about the way it looks. It’s about how it feels.

HanStone Quartz

One of the standout design decisions in Casa Lane is the use of HanStone Quartz countertops throughout the home. For the kitchen, the team selected Aurelia — a showstopping surface with a luminous white base, delicate gold wisps, and bold grey veining that emulates marble without the maintenance worries. The Aurelia quartz continues up the wall as a full backsplash, and a subtle shelf detail adds just the right amount of visual interest. It’s a surface that feels both modern and timeless — durable, low-maintenance, and absolutely ideal for a busy family home that loves to entertain.

For the bathrooms and laundry room, Lynne and Tristan selected Eden — a clean, sophisticated quartz that exudes understated elegance. With calming white tones layered with soft greys, Eden adds serenity and subtle movement to each space. It’s rich in natural beauty and seamlessly complements the rest of Casa Lane’s refined, relaxed design.

The countertops were fabricated and installed by the wonderfully skilled team at Progressive Countertops, whose craftsmanship and attention to detail helped bring the vision for Casa Lane to life.

Designing from the Heart, Living with Purpose

This duo is all about authenticity. Their design philosophy is rooted in real life: spaces that feel as good as they look, materials that are stylish and sensible, and renovations that embrace beauty without blowing the budget. They believe in using what works, finding joy in the details, and trusting that good design should feel effortless. Whether you’re dreaming of your own renovation, searching for design inspiration, or simply want to peek inside a family-built masterpiece like Casa Lane — this is a story you’ll want to follow.
