  • reviewed supplier-related information during procurement and supplier management activities;

  • maintained processes for internal reporting and escalation of workplace or supplier concerns;

  • communicated expectations regarding compliance with applicable laws and standards; and

  • continued reviewing opportunities to strengthen supply chain due diligence processes over time.


4. Forced Labour and Child Labour Risks

Hyundai L&C Canada recognizes that global manufacturing and raw material supply chains may present elevated risks related to forced labour and child labour in certain regions and industries.

Potential risk factors may include:

  • varying labour enforcement standards across jurisdictions;

  • subcontracting practices within global supply chains;

  • use of migrant labour in certain sectors; and

  • sourcing of raw materials from regions with increased labour-rights concerns.

The company continues to apply a risk-based approach when reviewing suppliers, sourcing regions, and supply chain activities.

Hyundai L&C Canada did not identify any confirmed instances of forced labour or child labour within its operations or known direct supply chain during the reporting period.


5. Remediation Measures

No confirmed instances of forced labour or child labour were identified during the reporting period.

If concerns regarding forced labour or child labour were to be identified, Hyundai L&C Canada would evaluate appropriate corrective actions based on the nature and severity of the concern. Such actions could include supplier engagement, requests for corrective measures, suspension of business relationships, or additional review activities where appropriate.


6. Training and Awareness

During the reporting period, Hyundai L&C Canada provided awareness information and guidance regarding forced labour and child labour risks to applicable personnel involved in procurement, logistics, supplier management, and related operational activities.

The company also continued internal discussions regarding responsible sourcing obligations and reporting requirements under Canadian legislation.


7. Assessing Effectiveness

Hyundai L&C Canada continues to evaluate the effectiveness of its supply chain due diligence efforts through activities such as:

  • review of supplier information and declarations where applicable;

  • internal compliance discussions and awareness efforts;

  • review of higher-risk sourcing regions; and

  • ongoing evaluation of opportunities to strengthen supplier engagement processes.

The company recognizes that supply chain due diligence is an evolving process and intends to continue reviewing and improving its approach over time.
